Head of Web Development
The Head of Web Development is a senior leadership position within NETSOL’s Global Marketing Team, responsible for the end-to-end strategy, architecture, and delivery of all web properties. This role sits at the intersection of engineering excellence and marketing impact, requiring someone who can think in systems while caring deeply about user experience, performance, and data-driven decision making.
The ideal candidate brings deep full-stack expertise, a proven record of leading high-performing development teams, and the commercial awareness to align technical decisions with marketing and business objectives. You will own the entire web ecosystem, from high-traffic product pages to campaign microsites, and will drive the technical direction of how NETSOL presents itself digitally to enterprise buyers worldwide.
Technical Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and grow a cross-functional web development team across frontend, backend, and QA disciplines.
- Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality benchmarks across all web properties.
- Conduct code reviews and drive a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and craft.
- Manage workloads, sprint planning, and delivery timelines in close collaboration with marketing and design stakeholders.
Web Properties Ownership
- Own the development roadmap for all NETSOL digital properties including netsoltech.com and campaign landing pages.
- Ensure web properties are performant, accessible, secure, and aligned with SEO and AEO requirements.
- Lead the planning and execution of major website initiatives including redesigns, platform migrations, and new feature launches.
Solution Architecture & System Design
- Design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance web architectures suited to enterprise marketing environments.
- Evaluate and recommend technology choices including frontend frameworks, CMS platforms, headless architectures, and hosting infrastructure.
- Establish DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment best practices for web properties.
Analytics, Tracking & Compliance
- Co-own the implementation and governance of analytics and tracking infrastructure including Google Tag Manager, GA4, and third-party integrations.
- Lead GDPR and CCPA compliance efforts for all web properties, including consent management and data privacy frameworks.
- Partner with demand generation and marketing operations teams to ensure reliable attribution and conversion tracking.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between Marketing, Design, and other stakeholders.
- Translate marketing briefs and campaign requirements into scoped, executable development plans.
- Contribute to strategic discussions on digital experience, UX direction, and marketing technology investments.
Technical Proficiency
- Expert-level command of modern frontend stacks: React.js, Next.js, Vue.js, Nuxt.js, and AngularJS.
- Strong backend capabilities in Node.js, Express.js, and PHP-based architectures including WordPress.
- Proficiency in UI animation, interactive component development, and performance-first frontend engineering.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and server environments for production web deployments.
- Experience with DevOps tooling: CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automated deployment workflows.
- Hands-on experience implementing analytics and consent management frameworks (GTM, GA4, GDPR/CCPA tools).
- Working knowledge of technical SEO principles, Core Web Vitals, and website performance optimization techniques.

- Proven experience managing and scaling development teams in an agile, fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex web projects on time.
- Clear communicator capable of bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders with confidence.
- Experience mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability.
- Comfort operating in a senior leadership capacity with visibility across organizational functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 8 to 10+ years of professional experience in web development, with at least 3 years in a team leadership or principal engineering role.
- Demonstrable portfolio of web properties developed and led from conception through to production.
