Information Security Specialist (Endpoint Protection)
As an Information Security Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and managing endpoint security solutions to protect organizational assets. This includes overseeing Mobile Device Management (MDM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) technologies, along with other related security tools. You will work closely with IT teams to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and strengthen the organization’s security posture against evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and optimize MDM solutions, preferably Microsoft Intune, to manage and secure mobile and endpoint devices across the enterprise.
- Implement and maintain DLP technologies, preferably Forcepoint, to prevent unauthorized data transfers, monitor sensitive information flows, and enforce data protection policies across endpoints, email, and cloud applications.
- Manage and monitor XDR platforms, preferably Microsoft Defender XDR, to provide advanced threat detection and response capabilities across endpoints, networks, and identities. This includes correlating alerts, investigating complex attack chains, and orchestrating automated responses to contain threats.
- Monitor and analyze endpoint security alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate remediation efforts to minimize risk exposure.
- Develop and enforce security policies for endpoint devices, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and risk analysis on endpoints and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate endpoint security controls into the broader security architecture.
- Automate and streamline processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and technologies to continuously enhance endpoint protection capabilities.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in endpoint security or in a similar cybersecurity operations role.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, threat landscape, and compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint security tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Forcepoint DLP, Microsoft Defender XDR, or similar).
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
